The Skiers Lounge is happy to offer our new “B4uRent” service, inspired by customer feedback. Not everyone wants to purchase ski boots right away – and they shouldnt if they are new skiing – but sometimes renting boots can be challenging due to your challenging feet, not knowing what it is you are supposed to feel in your boots, and communication issues with the rental shop. Our B4URent service helps ensure the best chance of success renting boots, by helping you to understand what you should be getting in terms of fit from a ski boot.
What is B4uRent?
When you book and come in for a B4uRent service you will receive the following service to help reduce the risk of boot discomfort and understand WHY you may be feeling uncomfortable and ways to tackle it. We can also identify those with foot profiles who may find it challenging to be comfortable in any ski boot and recommend steps to make your ski holiday an enjoyable one. A ski holiday is a big investment, as fellow skiers we want you to enjoy your time on the mountains.
- A full measurement of your foot to identify your correct ski boot size
- Show you how to put your ski boots on correctly for improved comfort and control
- An explanation of what you should be feeling in a ski boot, and why ski boots are designed to work the way they do
- The importance of your ski socks and the difference they make to comfort and fit
- A biomechanical assessment of your feet so we can supply you with a supportive insole (Bronze level) or custom made footbed (Silver level)
- A support leaflet reminding you how to put on your ski boots correctly
We can’t guarantee a perfect fit in every rental situation, but you will have far more knowledge about what is correct, what is incorrect, and WHY. Knowledge is power after all 🙂
How much does B4uRent cost?
B4uRent Lite – £30 (20 Minutes)
We will go through a ski boot measuring and assessment process, and advise you on your ski boot size and foot profile to help you with your rental ski boot selection.
B4uRent Bronze – £60 includes fitted insole worth £45 (30 minutes)
We will go through the whole ski boot measuring and assessment process, and then choose an off-the-shelf insole to help support your foot correctly in your rental boot. We have a choice of 6 different insole shapes in a range of sizes.
We will advise on the correct ski sock and you will save 15% on any ski socks purchased
Any information gained and the insole can be used to help with a custom ski boot purchase in the future.
B4uRent Silver – £120 includes custom made footbed (1 hour)
We will go through the whole measuring and assessment process, and then produce a custom made footbed unique to your feet to be inserted into a rental boot. These are the same footbeds made by the same professional fitter we use in custom ski boot fittings.
We will advise on the correct ski sock and you will save 15% on any ski socks purchased.
