We are looking for new team members to work alongside our existing experienced team of ski boot fitters to enhance further our reputation for high quality boot fitting services.
The ideal person for this role will have experience in wintersports retail or rental, and the perfect person will have ski boot fitting experience, although training will provided for the right candidate, as equally important is being able to communicate effectively with customers and LISTEN to them to ensure the best boot fit result possible. Boot fitting is a highly skilled role, which can not only land you a long term role with us here (we have several staff who return each season) but also gives you skills that can be utilised to secure ski resort work too.
Main purpose of role
To provide customers with the highest levels of ski boot fitting, ensuring they leave with correctly fitted boots to help enhance their time on the mountains. There will also be the need to help with related queries supporting the rest of the showroom team.

Scott Hargrave – Managing Director and assisted day-to-day by Dudley our senior boot fitter.
Core Tasks – Customer Service Team Member
- ALL STAFF: Making sure team members are all working together to make the safest working environment possible for the team and clients. Advise team members when something is astray, for everyone’s safety
- Undertake boot fitting appointments booked via our online booking system, taking comprehensive information from the customer and working with them to ensure the best result
- Make custom foot beds that are correctly moulded to the customers feet
- Boot modifications such as stretching and grinding ski boot shells
- The usual “any additional tasks that colleagues may require support with from time to time”
Ideal Experience and Skills For This Role
Ideally you will have some experience of wintersports, at least as a regular participant or working in a retail or rental environment or instructing You will be able to work on your own remaining motivated and focused rather than on your socials!
A practical person who is happy working with tools and creating solutions with a problem-solving mindset
You are able to work under pressure in a busy retail environment with peak periods
Someone who wants to learn and excel
You will have great communication skills with both customers and your teammates whether face to face, on the phone or via email
You will be able to use a computer competently, training will of course be given on our booking and till systems plus specialist equipment
Hours
Normal operating hours for the business in season are 10am to 5pm Monday to Friday, Saturday 9am to 5pm and Sunday 10am-4pm.
For the full time role this is 40 hours per week, on a rota system with a focus on weekend working due to customer availability. The Part Time role is weekends with an option for additional weekday hours.
Pay
We are a living wage employer. Pay is dependent on experience.
