We are looking for a part time team member to help us on our busy weekends in our showroom. We are open Saturday 9am-5pm and Sunday 10am to 4pm. This is a part time position for the winter season, normally from September to April.

Main purpose of role
To help customers visiting our showroom, assisting them with purchases such as ski helmets, goggles, gloves and accessories. Booking in and handing over serviced skis and snowboards.

Scott Hargrave – Managing Director

Core Tasks – Showroom Team Member
• Greet customers arriving at our showroom
• Book in customers arriving for ski boot fittings, and show them to their fitter, offering drink to them and giving them a fitting form to complete
• Helping customers to choose and buy the correct helmet, goggles, gloves and other accessories plus equipment
• Keep the showroom clean and safe at all times for visitors and staff
• The opportunity to learn to service skis and snowboards to support the workshop manager during quiet periods
• The usual “any additional tasks that colleagues may require support with from time to time”.

Experience Required
Some experience in retail would be desirable, but in the past we have had team members where this is their first job and they have been fantastic, as most important is to be able to talk to customers, be confident and think for yourself. Full training on products and our till and systems will be given.

Hours
September – April seasonal part time weekend hours. Normal operating hours for the business in season are 10am to 5pm Monday to Friday, Saturday 9am to 5pm and Sunday 10am-4pm. During peak periods there is the opportunity to do additional hours.

Pay
We are a living wage employer. Pay is dependent on experience and age, as this role does suit those in secondary or higher education. The pay range is as follows:

Age 16-18: £7.50 per hour
Age 18-20: £9.00 per hour
Age 21+: £12-£14 per hour

Holiday
28 days paid holiday per year – pro rata for seasonal staff
