We are looking for a workshop team member to help the workshop manager with the day-to-day running of our busy seasonal wintersports workshop and undertake ski and snowboard servicing. This is a weekend position for the winter season, normally from September to April. We ideally need someone who can work Saturdays, and there will be the option of additional hours on some Sundays and the odd weekday evening at peak times. If you are thinking of doing a season in resort or looking after your own skis and snowboards this is an ideal opportunity to do learn the skills whilst getting paid in a very busy wintersports workshop.
Main purpose of role
To help ensure the servicing of skis and snowboards to meet customers’ needs and timings is met. Servicing of skis and snowboards to a high standard, in our advanced busy and well respected ski and snowboard workshop.

Core Tasks – Workshop
• Referring to our online calendar to ensure jobs are completed in the correct order
• Servicing of skis and snowboards to a high standard
• Supporting the boot fitting team to adjust ski bindings for new ski boots (after training)
• Drilling, installation and set-up of ski bindings (after training)
• Booking in and handover of servicing work to the client’s needs
• The usual “any additional tasks that colleagues may require support with from time to time”
Experience Required
Ideally someone who has undertaken ski and/or snowboard servicing before either privately or for employment, or transferable skills such as woodworking may be useful but most importantly and interest and/or a passion for wintersports as full training will be given to the right candidate. If you have not serviced wintersports equipment before, but are adept at woodworking or working with your hands, we often find this is transferable to ski and snowboard servicing. Being able to organise and manage work is key, using computers to update our diary and advise customers when work is complete
Hours
September – April seasonal full time hours. Normal weekend operating hours for the business in season are Saturday 9am to 5pm and Sunday 10am-4pm. For this role there is flexibility available as the jobs needed to be completed by agreed dates, so for the right candidate the option to work flexible hours and outside normal operating hours (working with the workshop manager once qualified) is available.
Pay
We are a living wage employer. Pay is dependent on experience and starts from £7.50-£13.00 per hour depending on experience.
