We are looking for a part time to full-time team member to help us on weekdays in our customer service office and showroom. There is some flexibility in this role for the right person, so it could suit someone working around dropping of and picking up children from school, or those needing occasional time off during half term holiday periods.
This role is from approx. September to April allowing you the summer off. There may be the opportunity for some hours assisting in preparing for next season during the summer months.
Main purpose of role
To help customers by answering emails, telephone calls, answer machine messages and our online live chat service. There may also be the need to help customers in our small showroom from time to time.
Reporting to
Scott Hargrave – Managing Director and assisted by Clare our experienced customer service and showroom team member.
Core Tasks – Customer Service Team Member
• Answer incoming phone calls
• Answer emails to our support inbox
• Answer live chats from time to time, with customers able to ask questions in real time
• Keep the office and showroom clean and safe at all times for visitors and staff
• The opportunity to learn about ski products and services as full training will be given to help you in this role
• The usual “any additional tasks that colleagues may require support with from time to time”.
Experience Required
Some experience in customer service or a customer facing environment would be desirable, but in the past we have had team members where this is their first job and they have been fantastic, as most important is to be able to talk to customers, be confident and think for yourself. Full training on products and our till and systems will be given.
Hours
September – April seasonal weekdays. Normal operating hours for the business in season are 10am to 5pm Monday to Friday, Saturday 9am to 5pm and Sunday 10am-4pm. For this role we are looking for someone to work on weekdays, with the option to rota some weekend hours if a weekday off is preferred. During peak periods there is the opportunity to do additional hours.
Pay
We are a living wage employer. Pay is dependent on experience and starts from £18,000 up to £30,000 for a highly experienced person, per year pro-rata (working 9 months approx. per year)
