Born to defy the ordinary, the Blizzard Anomaly 88 is the ski you reach for when the day is shaping up to be anything but ordinary. Packing a redesigned Trueblend woodcore and all-new FluxForm All-Mountain metal layup, the 88 is just as at home devouring groomers as it is smashing bumps or disappearing into the woods on a pow day.
Blizzard have built no ordinary ski, designed to give you the confidence to find your own line, be your own person, and most importantly, chase the kind of gravity-defying, face-melting fun you can only find on a pair of skis.
Born to defy the ordinary, the Anomaly 88 is the ski you reach for when the day is shaping up to be anything but ordinary. You don't need another 'all-mountain' ski — you need an Anomaly.
Comparisons to last years model
The Anomaly 88 is unchanged from last year's model in terms of construction with the most minor tweaks, and is featuring new graphics for this season. It skis just as well as last season's ski.

Recommended Bindings
- Downhill - Marker Griffon 13 GripWalk, 100mm brake {link coming soon}
- Downhill - Look SPX GripWalk, 95mm/100mm brake {link coming soon}
Recommended Brake Width For This Ski - 90mm/95mm
Each binding brand has slightly different methods for measuring ski brake widths, and please also note we are needing to clear the ski further back from the centre. So if a ski is "88mm wide" then where the brake sits the brake may well be 92mm or more. Although you can bend a brake slightly we do NOT recommend this, the brake is an important component and bending it can cause damage elsewhere effecting its function.
Our Ski Testers Opinion
Blizzard took the Brahma 88, my go-to ski for many years, and just made it even better! More agile than ever, but without any loss of the sure-footed feel that has made the Brahma so incredibly popular for years.

Ability LevelSkiers that have moved beyond the basics and feel more comfortable on the slopes making strong parallel turns with solid edge control. These skiers are exploring more of the mountain and ski the majority of the runs at most resorts, but still improving their skills to take on the hardest runs with confidence. The majority of intermediate skiers can adjust and manage their speed while adjusting to a variety of terrain and snow conditions.
Very experienced skiers that can easily tackle all types of terrain. Event at high speed, these skiers are balanced, controlled and confident. They ski efficiently with strong technique not matter what turn shape or at any speed. Expert skiers enjoy the challenge of variable conditions and terrain — from groomers to deep snow and tight trees to wide open faces - while adjusting quickly to unexpected obstacles along the way.
TechnologiesTRUEBLEND ALL MOUNTAIN WOODCOREAN EXCLUSIVE BLEND OF WOODS PROVIDING 3 AREAS OF DENSITY
HIGH DENSITY WOOD STRINGERS
The TRUE BLEND WOODCORE technology is made of a blend of two different woods. The high density wood stringers are built into the ski wood core. By modifying their length and number, we can control the flex very precisely. Harder flex in the center where you need more strength and softer in the tip and tail for more forgiveness and an easy power release.
THE RIGHT FLEX WHERE YOU NEED IT Thanks to the True Blend WoodCore technology we are able to control the flex precisely through the whole length of the ski, maintaining the desidered behaviour the same for all sizes.
FLUXFORM ALL MOUNTAINSTABLE YET PLAYFUL Fluxform All-Mountain uses four individual pieces of titanal, creating a strong ski that prioritizes stability at speed but makes no compromises on playfulness or versatility.
ALL CONDITIONS ROCKER PROFILE
A higher and more progressive Tip-Tail Rocker profile provide for unparalleled turning capability in all conditions. A reimagined camber footprint provides enhanced stability and energy at any speed and in all conditions.
