Nordica Santa Ana 97 Skis 2027

Season:2026/2027

Brand:Nordica

Code:0A548600

The mountains have so much to offer–enjoy it all with Nordica’s Santa Ana 97. Incredibly playful and versatile, this all-mountain ski is at home in any terrain and all conditions.

For an especially smooth ride, the Santa Ana 97 features a fresh construction that pairs both a wood core and an elastomer Pulse core with a sheet of terrain-specific metal. Combined with a wider waist, this construction amplifies control and response while also excelling in softer snow. The ski inherits the legendary performance of the Santa Ana collection–and then builds upon it to boost your confidence and fun.

Nordica’s Santa Ana construction pairs Terrain Specific Metal technology with a Pulse Core. The tailored sheet of metal combined with an elastomer layer and a full wood core allows you to take your skiing anywhere on the mountain, maximising performance and fun. The unlocked tail shape adds more rise to the tail, allowing you to pivot the ski at slower speeds and in tighter terrain without sacrificing top-end performance.

Terrain Specific Metal tailors the edge-to-edge width of the titanal layer in each ski. This ensures that narrower, more on-trail oriented waist widths have the stability and edge control you need, while wider, softer snow-oriented skis have more playfulness and versatility. True Tip technology trims the heavy ABS plastic in the tip and extends the lightweight wood core into this area, enhancing playfulness and manoeuvrability without compromising power and control.

Features:

  • Construction: TSM Pulse Core
  • Core / Materials: Performance Wood + Terrain Specific Metal + Sidewall + Pulse Core
  • Rocker: All Mountain
  • Factory Base Bevel: 0.9°
  • Factory Side Bevel: 87.5°
  • Suggested Binding: Marker Griffon 13 Twincam / Marker Squire 11
  • Exceptional response boosts precision and control

  • Lighter with metal dampening
  • Stability where you need it
  • Playfulness where you want it
  • Lighter, smoother, and more manoeuvrable

Ski Buyers Guide

Buying a pair of skis doesn't need to be a daunting experience. When buying a pair of skis, there are a few simple pieces of information that will help you to find your perfect match. With the introduction of carving skis and new technology, ski length is based more on the user’s weight than the tradition of using your height. Combine this with your ski level and your aspirations and this will help narrow your choice very quickly. Follow these simple steps:

STEP 1 - ABILITY

Firstly choose your current skiing level from the list below:

1 - Never skied before3 - Starting to do the odd blue5 - Venturing onto reds, step turns7 - Comfortable skiing most black runs9 - Skiing on/off-piste aggresively
2 - I can snowplough4 - Starting to parallel ski6 - I am getting confident on reds8 - I am confortable on ice + off-piste10 - I am a professional skier or racer

Here at The Skiers Lounge we then brake this down into 4 groups:

NOVICE (1 to 4)INTERMEDIATE (4-6)ADVANCED (6-8)EXPERT (9-10)

STEP 2 - TERRAIN
Now you know your skier level, you can decide where you will mainly be using your new skis:

Groomed Piste RunsAll piste conditionsAll mountain skiing conditionsOff-piste skiing (powder)Ski touring/Freetouring

STEP 3 - SKI LENGTH
For selecting the correct ski length, we take your ability, weight and where you will use the skis, and can calculate an approximate length:

Weight (Metric)Weight (Imperial)Ski Length
Under 50KGUnder 7st 9lb140cm (135cm women)
50 - 56kg7st 9lb - 8st 8lb145cm (140cm women)

63 - 68kg9st 8lb - 10st 6lb155cm (148cm women)
69 - 75kg10st 7lb - 11st 7lb160cm (152cm women)
76-81kg11st 8lb - 12st 7lb165cm (156cm women)
Over 81kgOver 12st 8lb170cm (163cm women)

STEP 3 - FINAL ADJUSTMENT FOR SKILL LEVEL

The final calculation- For NOVICE skiers, this is your recommended length. For INTERMEDIATE and ADVANCED skiers we recommend adding 5cm to the above measurement, and for EXPERT and PROFESSIONAL skiers you would normally add 10cm to the above length and a little more for freeride skis.
